What's new in Athena 3 SP1?

Athena 3 Service Pack 1 (or 3.1) is a replacement for Athena 3.0.
It is the accumulation of all issues solved since 3.0.0 plus a major roundup of up-to-date support for major CAD applications and Windows versions.

NEW Component Builder

The old Component Builder application has been redesigned from scratch and build with the latest in graphics technology. The new Component Builder has become a state-of-the-art desktop environment for interactive editing and authoring of your Plant-4D component databases.

NEW Project model databases changes

By popular demand, tagnumber related SOLODATA-fields TAG1 and TAG2 have been increased from 10 to 20 characters, as has the TAGNUMBER field from 70 to 90 characters.
Running the Plant-4D Database Update utility will take care of this.

NEW Project Settings Editor

A dedicated editor has been added to for interactive editing and authoring of your Plant-4D project settings. This editor has import/export features to migrate settings to other projects.

NEW Advanced Viewer export to PDF

The fast new advanced viewer has been provided with export of images of P&ID and Pipe drawings to PDF format (SaveAs).

NEW Support for Multiway Valves in Isogen

Use of PCF file switches to identify multiway valves in isometrics.

NEW About Plant-4D shortcut

The use of the P4D_About-utility has been extended with additional reporting to make you aware of any misconfigured paths and values. A dedicated shortcut has been added to the start menu folder.
AutoCAD

All Plant-4D ARX-libraries have been updated to be interoperable with

native 32-bit versions of

• AutoCAD R15 (2000 ... 2002)
• AutoCAD R16 (2004 ... 2006)
• AutoCAD R17 (2007 ... 2009)
• AutoCAD R19 (2010 ... 2011)

and for running on Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista SP2 and Windows 7.

Menus for AutoCAD 2010 have been migrated to the new .cuix menufileformat.
MicroStation

All Plant-4D MDL-libraries have been updated to be interoperable with

32-bit release versions only of

• MicroStation 08.05 (V8 2004)
• MicroStation 08.09 (V8 XM)
• MicroStation 08.11 (V8i)

and for running on Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista SP2 and Windows 7.

Isometrics

Added support for latest ISOGEN release (nov 2009).

Fixes to P4DtoIso generator utility.
