CodeX 2010 Build 20100528 update released

CEA Systems released the CodeX Build 20100528 update on 25th January 2012.
New features and enhancements include:
Improvements to connections
- Added component toolbar to ease and simplify the process of working with connections, for instance it is now possible to duplicate, edit and connect a component in one step
- The connection window has been improved to make the connection process more intuitive by means of tooltip images and help text
- We have renamed assembly to vessel, this approach fits better into future developments
- We performed some architectural changes in order to improve the overall stability and performance of connections
- Re-use of existing components, essential component dimensions are taken over during the connection process
General features
- Reading/writing is now faster in CodeX 2010 release, compared to CodeX 2009
- Instant elaborate tooltips improve your efficiency
- Switching between items in the project tree now performs without flickering and delay
- The project tree now also displays the subject, order number and description
- Project tree columns are now customizable
- Project tree selections are reflected in the 3D viewer and vice versa, the 3D viewer automatically zooms in on the selected component(s)
- Multiple selections are now supported
- A vessel summary has been added which displays all the components which reside in the vessel
- Special keyboard keys enhance efficiency/productivity
- Context menus have been enhanced to optimize productivity
The 3D viewer has been improved to increase productivity
- Coloring has been changed
- Interoperability has improved, duplication and numerous other commands are now available from the 3D viewer
- Visibility can be controlled on a per component basis
- Coordinate axis for every component assists in the connection process
Future plans with CodeX (expected after the release of CodeX 2010)
Vessel approach
- One or more design condition(s) for the entire vessel (all components residing in the vessel inherit these design conditions)
- Material list and several other customizable lists pertaining to the vessel
- Information about critical calculation results and critical components (maximum pressure and minimal thickness)
- Placement of various components or sub-components (Nozzles, rings, saddles etc.) will be improved
- Takeover will be replaced with a new and improved version
